27 Things to do in Adana

What is there to do in Adana?  I spent  8 years of my life trying to answer that question. My book 27 Things to do in Adana attempts to answer that question. I believe that I’ve written the best English-language resource for things to do in Adana.  I hope you agree.

Background: 27 Things to do in Adana began as a series on AdanaAdventures.com.  14 of chapters in the book have been adapted from previous blog content, but over half of the content in the guidebook is previously un-released material.  One bonus about the guidebook is that I’ve added GPS coordinates for all of the location-centric chapters in the book.  If you have a GPS device, this book will be a huge upgrade from the free content on the blog.

eBook or Physical Book?

27 Things to do in Adana is a 37 page guidebook that can be purchased as an ebook which is compatible with your kindle or ipad, read on your computer or printed as a PDF.  It can also be purchased as a full-color physical book and shipped anywhere in the US or to an APO box from a trusted supplier: Amazon.com or CreateSpace.com.

    Hey Jake,
Love the posts, REALLY makes me miss Adana. Have you ever considered kayaking in the Adana lake? It is so so beautiful and there are so many hidden, untouched places to discover(I even once found a baby hawk stranded in the water and was able to take it home and nurse it back to health before returning him a few weeks later). Its an amazing piece of nature that is so underutilized and one of the places I miss most!

      Hi Paula,
I’m glad that the blog is giving you a way to stay connected with Adana. I’ve never thought about kayaking in the Lake. That’s such a great idea. Were you able to find a place to rent kayaks, or did you own your own? I agree that the nature up there is so underutilized.

Jake – I am trying to see previous posts in the “52 things to do in Adana” and I can’t seem to find the link in the left-hand side.  Perhaps my page is not loading correctly? I saw someone mention an organic farm in a post below and I was specifically looking for a post you may have that mentions more about that?

Hi Jake, great to see your posts. Your descriptions are great and I am encouraged to see other english speakers have explored the city so well.

I’m an Aussie married to a beautiful Adanali (Adanian) “Aylin”.
Since my marriage in 2008 in Adana I have return every year from Australia and explore the city more each time.

I’ll be there again come Nov 2012 and will probably post a blog this time. I tend to walk for miles on foot everywhere improving my Turkish Language skills and meeting lots of wonderful people from Adana market places. Lots of experiences! I have been made very welcome by all in this city which is not your typical tourist city, but a welcoming one never the less. I know you are back in USA now which is shame because I would have loved to catch up there.
If anyone sees this post and is there later this year I would be happy to meet up and share experiences.  Kind regards
    Andrew
